I think I should write a blog about how I am spending two weeks on a social media sabbatical and relearning the old ways of connecting with people (with social media tripe to support me!!). This seems to be a growing trend to get sympathy and admiration from friends and supporters for “going back to nature and a simpler way of life”.
The real truth is I left my ipad at the lake by mistake and am not going back for two weeks. Yes I have access to all the internet sites at work and yes I have a cell phone. But I am really suffering not being able to follow Pinterest while lying in bed! Or have full access to all the photos I took – millions of useless things I hope to do to make my life more meaningful.
In the meantime I am forced to text or telephone my friends the old fashion way – sort of. Remember rotary dial telephones?
Are you planting your garden or flower pots yet? Dirt under my fingernails is a new fixture.
For gardeners, we have Epsom Salt in bulk. I am not going to enter the debate about whether Epsom Salt is helpful or harmful to plants. I looked online and got confused. The debate is basically “Old Wives Tales” versus “Expert Advice”.
Staff swear it works and they have never lead me wrong, so I will try using Epsom Salt this year; I can always eat a few extra tomatoes.
See you at Scoop N’ Weigh: The Candy Store for Grown Ups!
P.S. We are clearing out the White Wine Kits and all the wine making paraphernalia. Good prices, I just want them gone.
P.P.S. We still have pumpkins too.
